Beaux Art Chinese Shar Pei

4 years ago in this month I bought a puppy from Barbara. He is my very best friend, throughout his life he has been absolutely spoiled and loved beyond what I knew was even possible.

To say he made my life complete is an understatement. But I was promised that this innocent baby would never suffer from Sharpei fever because of his clean blood lines and they had bred the disease out. Come to find out that this is not even possible to do last year when he was finally diagnosed, we were told this week that his kidneys are failing as a result of this and to say our goodbyes. Shame on you Barbara Dion.

You will not believe what this woman has done to me and my wife!

I first contacted Barbara about purchasing a Shar pei puppy from her. And we managed to strike a convincing agreement wich had me come to her home to make payment and retrieve my puppy. Upon my arrival i was greeted at the door with a smile. Entering the home you wont believe what i witnessed ....

Her home was clean. Well lived in for having all her dogs live inside with her but never the less (clean). I had expected to see cages but to my surprise there were non. Her dogs were actually quite pleasant for having a stranger in their environment. They were healthy playful and great as a team. "Then the real crazy business begin to unfold!" She was polite, well informed and very knowledgeable. "I was thinking this lady must be off her rocker" i mean, how dare she to share her 34+ years of experience with me.... She showed me all her dogs pedigree's and health stats from her vet (and then she did the unthinkable) she gave me his phone # so i could call and enquire about the health of my pup's parents. We immediately bought a second pup from her that day... and set a contract for 2 more puppies and then 3 more to fallow after that and 1 final pup to complete our family. I didnt buy from a puppy mill. I brought well behaved, potty trained happy healthy puppies from a woman that has a standard wich is (for the love of the breed) simple as that. Barbara is kind and honest. She doesn't hide anything. She would rather you knew the facts before you make a well informed decision simple as that... (Recap) what has Barbara done to me and my wife you may ask? She made us more understanding of the breed and showed us that her dogs do have excelent health and her bloodlines are among the best in the shar pei community. Great temperment and above all, not 1 of our dogs purchased from her has any health issues what so ever!

Great temperment and great wrinklys. It u uneducated people who buy this special bred and fail. Your hating is a LIE CALL JEFF RUEL AT 561-708-****. These dogs need knowledgable owner that know how to raise this bred more than likely u bought it to show off.

With no knowledge of the bred. My vet said after 40 yrs best shar pei hes ever seen. So stop hating and learn the bred. My Cookie i wondeful.

One of the best Shar pei ive ever had thank u Barbara your a master at the skill of bredding Shar peis. For u other i bet my life u know nothing about the bred u just want to sbow off thos rare bred. So stop hating learn the bred. Barbara i cznt thank u enluhh fof this wonderful dog.

We've now had our handsome Shar-pei (Hudson) for four years now from Ms. Barbara.

The vet(s)- we relocated- both advised Hudson was the best and healthiest looking Shar-pei they've ever seen. This is my second Shar-pei. The first I purchased in Tennessee and had kidney failure. I was told the food did it, and I was also told the breeder was the problem.

Ms Dion invited us to her house to meet the dogs and to pick up Hudson. The TN breeder wouldn't allow me to their residence. They met me at a service station, brought the mother dog, and 9 puppies. Their legs were bowed in front and she advised it's because the mom had so many there wasn't much room and the front legs would eventually straighten out.

My vet advised it was from the mother being malnourished then a few months later diagnosed with Elbow Dysplasia. I vetted my breeder thoroughly the second time. I got references. Ms Dion keeps her FB current.

The Pei families all post pics of updates. I am friends with Hudson's sisters mom. The lies on this feed are truly disturbing. Just read about the puppy mill in TN.

I'm not sure I got Fasa from them, but it sounds like they may be the breeder of my first pei.

Regardless, I loved him despite his health issues and my heart still aches because I miss him. We've had no issue with Hudson- NONE.
